Been shooting slugs from a custom gun I had built since the early 80's. Have shot a lot of other slug guns as well. All I can say is you will have to try a bunch to see which one your gun likes best. Each gun is different even within the same make and model. From my custom gun back in the 80's it preferred the Winchester high speed BRI style sabot slugs. These slugs were discontinued but I was lucky enough to find a case of them to buy. I get 1.5" groups at 100 yds. Have not had a reason to try anything else. Although, I was given a box of Winchester Supreme Platinum sabot slugs with the pistol type bullet and tried that in my custom gun. I could not have hit the broad side of a barn if I was standing inside it! I always sight my slug guns in 2" high at 50 yds and I couldn't even keep all the shots on the paper. Sighting in slug guns can be expensive. Overall, the Lightfields are usually a pretty accurate slug. I also have a H&R single shot slug gun. It prefers the Lightfields and I get excellent accuracy. If you don't need the distance the good old fashioned Winchester foster style slugs have been a pretty good overall performer. My son uses a Mossberg 695 and gets excellent groups using the Winchester foster style slugs. He has taken several deer out to 125 yards with them. It doesn't matter how expensive or fancy the slug is as long as you can put it in the right place every time! Good luck. Hope this helps.

I owned a 695 for several years, it went down the road a couple years back but if memory serves me right the last load I shot in it was the Winchester 2 3/4 premier sabots. It shot them really well. I think with some trigger work the 695 could shoot as well as anything but in stock form that trigger is horrible and prevents the gun from showing it's true ability. I'm sure if you experiment with some of the new tipped sabot slugs you can find one of them to shoot very well.

I don't have any personal experience with a mossberg 695 but I remember reading somewhere that the twist rate on the mossy is 1 in 34. I have a mossy 500 with the same twist rate that shoots pretty well with the slower moving slugs.
I also have a marlin model 512 that I just installed a scope on that seems to shoot the faster moving (1800fps and faster) slugs better. It has a 1 in 28 twist barrel on it.
If I was you I would try slugs in the 1700 fps range and see how it does.
