just looking at the savage site and noticed they have a 20 ga version out. built on the 110 action with accu trigger. looks like a sweet heart. may have to invest in one.
any body got one yet?

well, i used to have a deerslayer 2 and sold it. it shot the partition gold slug into an inch at 100 yds. but the groups opened up the following year. i had a bushnell banner on the ithaca, and put it on a h&r 988 ultra slug then back on the ithaca never considering the scope was junk from the h&r's heavy recoil.
so yesterday i went down to my favorite gun shop and there was the storm. hardly used at all. 349.00 and he through in the tax. the 10 year old mentorship law passed in WI so my 11 year old can hunt with me. figured this would be a good gun for us to share the hunt with.
on a side note, i have owned the 210 master shot[12 ga] and the shells would hang up when ejecting, did so when i shot at a buck. away it went.

The 220 isn't out yet either. Supposedly, it's supposed to show in a few weeks. It sounds nice.
I've got a Deer Slayer II in 20G. I really like it. It doesn't shoot great groups, but it's good out to a 100 yards easy. It is very sweet handling.

I got a 220F about 4 weeks ago or so .
Mine likes the Hornady 2 3/4" SST's as well as the Remington 2 3/4" Accutips .
The Federal 3" Barnes Tipped slugs work pretty decent also , but there is a substaincial difference in recoil with the 3" slugs .

Randy Wakeman has a review of the 220F on his site. He claims less than 2 MOA groups at 200 yards with the 3" federal barnes slugs.

Got a 220f a couple weeks back. Ultra accurate, very nice! Have only ran the 2 3/4 hornady sst's through it so far.

I tried six more different loads today.
The best of the bunch is the 2000 fps Winchester Partition Gold 3 in. shell, followed very closely by the Federal Barnes. Still very good, but a noticeable notch behind is the Winchester "Dual Bond" 1850 fps load.
I've not tried Accu-tips as of yet, but the folks at Savage are getting 1 inch 100 yards groups out of them more often than not.
