Interesting couple of days starting with my eye check-up at the optometrist. My eyes are good and meet all the requirements for my work and driving of course. I did mention to him about maintaining a sharped locked focus on smaller items. So, we did some additional tests and sure enough he spotted what I was talking about. He basically referred to it as “involuntary muscular contraction” seen with older individuals. Okay what are my options for eliminating this or reducing the response.
First, he adjusted his equipment and I began reading smaller letters without difficulty at all. Secondly, he noticed my eyes slightly red indicating dryness. He recommended I start using moisturizer such as “Systane”. Okay I will now have a second pair of glasses coming for mostly reading fine print and for reading radiographs (x-rays).
Next up was seeing an optician and ordering glasses. I wanted to once again get a certain Titanium frame but they don’t make that model anymore. I explained that I had clip on shades and want my second pair to be able to utilize them also. The lady was very accommodating in searching the titanium frames available and found a model that was close enough to make my clip-on shades useable. Now a pair of glasses with titanium frame, lenses that are poly carbonate, anti-scratch and anti-reflective coating are on their way. Cost some but I just see it as middle-aged maintenance, chuckle.
Now for my finale chore it was to stop by Bass-Pro to pickup the 2400 powder I ordered. That made my day complete.
It’s been wet and raining pretty much here so I took care of some needed chores. I consider that as productive time spent.
