Anyone have experience shooting Whitetailed deer with either Parker Balistic Extremes or Match Hunters out to 300yrds ?
Planning to use Reloader 7 with Federal 209 primers 300grain Parkers, just not sure which perform better on deer out to 300yrds.
Shooting a Savage 10 ML II.
Would a 275 or 325 grain bullet be a better, flatter shooting, choice ?
I have heard a high shoulder shot is recomended with these bullets.
Anyone get clean pass through without any mushrooming by just hitting the vitals ?
Any info would be of GREAT help,
Thanks

I have used both bullets for deer and they both performed well but the distances were under 100 yards so on the longer ranges I cannot help you. On the MatchHunter I used the high shoulder shot. On the BEs I used a lung shot but it passed through and I did not recover the bullet. The buck traveled maybe 100 feet after the shot.

Do you have current pricing on those bullets? The Accumax look very interesting at about $2.00/bullet, and longer ranges may be a real winner. edge. PS IMO, pistol type bullets should not hit "big" bone on the way in, but I am much less concerned on the way out

Which bullets? The links have current pricing. The Parker BE runs at least $1.25 a bullet but bulk is probably cheaper. $15/12 on Parkers site. Rather pricey when you can by a Barnes 300gr BO for almost a $1 each and get nearly .300 BC. Accumax is certainly an option too and i think he will make them in a thinner jacket special order. They are a long bullet so better double check if 1-24 twist will cut it or not at the MV you can obtain. ATM MidwayUSA has the BO for 50% off. 56cents a bullet. www.midwayusa.com/product/1010411874?pid=635838

Thanks for the info.
Will look into all bullets and info mentioned. ATM the Fury Startip 2 may not win the BC crown but overall its a very good value. He has been great to the SML community in general. He made us bullets no one else would make. Just noticed Luke still has some 300gr BEs. 50 pack is in the $75 range. www.arrowheadrifles.com/product/parker-ballistic-extreme-bullets/
