To be blunt, only someone who doesn't know what they're doing would recommend either the HIS or Arrowhead Gen2 LRMP system for a 700ML. The bolt retention screw is not strong enough to handle either of those systems. Sure it might work for a few shots, but you won't catch me putting my face in front of that.

I understand the ASG Gen2 is not for a Rem700ML, I like the short flame path of the Gen2 but I also don't want my face or my kid's face near that.
Why not the HIS though, he states on his site that the bushing is installed from the powder side like the ASG Rem700ML breech plug. Unless your talking about the HIS DIS, then I understand.
I'm guessing something got censored in the original post?

Yeah, I guess someone deleted the original post (maybe the OP). He was just asking about using the HIS in a 700ML. While the HIS does have quite a bit more flame channel relative to the Arrowhead Gen2, the bushing is deeply recessed. There's actually less material holding a HIS bushing in place for rearward travel than there is with the AG2. I know of a couple HIS plugs that actually had the bushing expel rearward from an overcharged load --probably not end of world if you have locking lugs. The Arrowhead 700ML LRMP plug has an expansion chamber more like a recessed 209 plug. So lots of material holding bushing, and lots of flame channel for an expansion chamber for reducing pressure on the bolt. The more FC a plug has the less ideal it is for a LRMP, in my opinion. But that's the tradeoff you make if you want to use LRMP safely with the 700ML.
