I finally had a chance to test some copper bullets at the 100 yard range. These bullets shot reasonably well for me, next time I will try wool wads and up the charge a few grains and see if I can squeeze any more accuracy out of them. The XPB's were knurled then Full Formed in my Brux die. The backstop at the range is composed of rocks, sand, and dirt; very hard on bullets TSX's were annealed then Full Formed in the Brux die, I did try to size these bullets before annealing but it was impossible for me to do I used my RemBrux .45, 209 breech plug, 700ML muzzleloader 69 gr IMR4198 for both bullets .060 veggie wad Fed 209A primer 3 shot groups Top group is the 275 gr XPB, I had a bullet hole on the target from some fouling/sighter shots so that is why the tape is there Lower group is the 300 gr TSX After shooting the top group, the scope was adjusted 8 clicks down and then the TSX shot

I've had good results using those 275 XPB's but I annealed them. I use them in a break open with DI system.

It helps the bullet obturate or in "expansion".

Shot another 3 shot group with the 275gr XPB out of the RemBrux, 70 grains IMR4198. I added this bullet to my list of all copper bullets that I would use for deer hunting. My Black Apex SML liked them too, 60gr IMR4198

Again Nice Shooting. I also wouldn't hesitate using either bullet for a moose load.
