I have a 700ml with asg plug and modules. The modules slide in easily but after shooting they hang in the bolt nose and are very difficult to get out. This is aggravating for bench shooting and must be corrected before hunting season. I guess the primer is backing out enough to get it jammed. I have tried releasing the firing pin a couple extra times after shooting but don’t seem to help. So far I have only shot fairly low powered loads of 56-60 grain h4198 and 230gr cup. Any suggestions?

I've had one or two modules act similar, but I just close the bolt and open it back up and they come out as easy as any other.

Headspace is incorrect. To loose. Is this a new build or been done awhile and just start doing this.
I would replace retaining screw if it's a older build

What is the simplest fix? Could I add a washer to the breech plug to back it up a tad?

You could add a shim to breech plug to obtain proper headspace.
Best fix is remove barrel and have it headspaced .

Don’t seem to matter how many times I work the bolt and they all stick it’s not just one or two Thanks Have you tried "dry firing" on the spent primer in addition to working your bolt? I once had the same problem with 209's and dry firing did the trick. The problem could be too light a load for your setup. Many, many moons ago, quite a few of us had that problem and it was suggested for us to up our loads and it worked for me.

I do dry fire a couple times each time and it helps a little but still have to use pliers to help them out. I will try increasing the load and if that don’t work I’ll work on the headspace as bestill suggested. It’s a new build and I was starting with lower end charges and going to work my way up. Thanks

Lrmp module system and 209 system totally different subject. Mostly true. However, it has been shown that light loads in centerfire produce enough pressure to partially push the primer out of the case, yet not enough pressure to reseat it. Such could possibly be the case with the brass LRMP system. If it were me, I would at least give a hotter load with a heavier bullet a try.

Right on but this is a 700ml lrmp with a front bushing and long flame channel same as a 209 plug so module sees a very reduced pressure compared to a gen2 lrmp for centerfire build.
The 700ml lrmp is much more critical than gen2 system on headspace because of slotted boltnose kit

This is a very old thread but I’m having the same issue. Did you ever figure out the issue?

It was the headspace I added a thin washer to the breechplug and it locks up tighter and spent primers remove easy now.
