Been busy doing my muzzle loading homework in preparation of getting out hopefully soon. First some rounds of 4759 for a base load. Then a few rounds of duplex to end the session. Now I don't have H322 but have H4198. Here there were some PT's to review and like what I see. The rise time is just a little faster with the N110/H322 load and the 4759/H4198 seem to both have the same pressure towards the end of the shot. Velocity is slightly above 2600fps. So I can at least try a good duplex to start with. Just hope my shoulder doesn't hate me as I haven't fired my 10ML-II for a while. Should it complain I have some Volteran on hand to pacify its complaint, chuckle. Ed

I forgot you were shooting the .50. I use a duplex with your powders but in a .45 and a lighter bullet so that will not help you. Keep us posted how it works out.

I have two .50s yet. Don't use them much anymore but in the same vein as you I really would not feel handicapped in any way using them. For the most part they did everything at the ranges I shoot that I needed.

Jims
For me the 10ML-II is special because it generated a learning curve of say pressures, powder burn rates and firearm requirements such as bedding and even bore lapping. Also many projects which I enjoyed doing to try to get the best results. So far all my deer with the 10ML-II have been one shot-one kill. I'm content to continue my hunting adventures with the 10ML-II.
Now it's time to get reacquainted with my 10ML-II and continue with new adventures.
