Cellphone technology has advanced at an unbelievable rate and for me keeping up with it seems impossible. Then there’s so many different APPs out there to select for specific functions. I have a cellphone and may only utilize a small percentage of it. It has now become a useful tool in my everyday life. Emails, notifications and work-related activity. I don’t quite feel I’ve become dependent on it but like to have it on hand. When I get home, I place it on a stand and go about my activities even outside leaving my cellphone on its stand. There are times I don’t want interruptions when doing something specific.
Now back to cellphone functions. The one feature I have not used yet is Voice. I have seen others use it and feel I need to learn more about this function. Now the biggest hurdle for me is talking to my phone giving it commands. I feel I would be relinquishing control of something I do manually. I know I have to get over that thought.
Now a question I have for others is, how many others use Voice on their cellphone and their thoughts about this function?

I use the hands off function for when I'm driving. Don't know if that's what you're talking about. I'm not an advocate of apps as they invariably want unfettered access to your phones contact list among others.
Edit: I think your phone should have a 'voice' function built in if I'm correct assuming you are speaking of the app that google offers. Google's stuff always come with a price, if not monetary a simple pain in the ask.

Phone calls, texts and taking occational photo's. And Solitare. Certainly useful for many other things but can't seem to find a good reason to live on it. Seen too many people walk in front of cars, ruin friendships on face plant(book), and miss personal connection with others buried on their phone. Cancer for the younger generations. For all the good you can say about tech, there is a downside.

I like voice dictation for text messages. Sometimes I’ll use it for other writing tasks also. You certainly need to proofread things that are dictated. I don’t use voice commands for my phone though. Brothers house is setup for voice activation of lights and I don’t like it.
