After getting good advice from this board, I am in the process of converting a CVA Hunter in 45/70. I am thinking of having the barrel cut to 20 inches. I want to shoot the Barnes 195 mz with a sabot. I am needing input on the type and amount of powder to use in this short barrel. Also if anyone knows approximate velocity of said loads this would be appreciated.

That much N110 is way too much. Using N110 i would start around 31gr and work up slowly to no more than 37gr. After that it will almost certainly be blowing sabots. About 33-34gr should get you in the range you want. SR4759 should work too if you have any. About 38gr. Look at traces 50b and 51b

Sorry about that. Those weights are for 4198 powder.

Just an opinion but if i was considering 4198 for a short barrel and lighter amounts i would move up to a heavier bullet like the Fury's if its a 209 conversion. That is probably just fine with a LRMP setup though. Them Barnes 195gr can be a little finicky too if the bore is a tad large. Something like a 10/45 duplex might help get the peak up a bit and a better burn?
