Harrell's sells a sabot friendly muzzle brake. I have one in my tool box but have not installed it on my barrel. I can not say how it will perform. It is basically the same as their regular radial brake but it has smaller holes.

Are their any muzzle brakes that are sabot friendly? I make one similar to the Harrell's (which is a knock off of the Ken Johnson brake) but with a couple of tweaks to the design. I incorporate a forward thread relief so that you don't have to put one in yourself (so you can thread your barrel to bottom out in the brake so there is no gap between the barrel and the brake ). I added more holes to the brake. More holes = more gas diverted=more recoil reduction Threads are consistant from brake to brake... batch to batch.... I use thread gauges, not a tap. five four zero-eight one nine-five eight seven four
