I live about 200 miles from Leslie (where Ozark lived). On Monday and Wednesday, I drove through Leslie, stopped and bought bread at Serenity bakery, and went by Ozark’s repainted house. Just so sad to know that we can no longer stop there and visit, talk about “Jake” , talk about muzzleloaders, about “The Buffalo “ (national river), and life. Stopped by Mon and Wed on the way to and from Jasper, AR (major elk area on the Buffalo River).
Ozark, Ben, was a lot like Walt Kowalsky in Grand Torino. He was a last of the breed. We should all feel blessed to have gotten to know him here on this board.

I always enjoyed his postings too. Down to earth fellow. His book was a good read. So others could enjoy it I donated it to our library.
