Afternoon All,
Not sure I've ever posted on here before, but I've done piles of reading and studying. Excellent site! Anyway, I finally got my sml dialed in. I've had it for 3 seasons. I took a Howa LA converted over to shoot a shortened 243 case with a breech plug. Didn't like this setup at all. I was getting blowback thru the bolt and accuracy was not what I was hoping. Bumped into Ron Hudson, a local smith. He told me about his design. After that season I took it to him. He cut a .358win chamber into the plug. BINGO, just want I was looking for. Last season threw a load together just to get hunting, did kill some meat. This year I was able to work up a good load. 3 shots cutting at 100yds, now we're talking. Killed a 5pt last Saturday, easy 45yds, ran about 15yds. Then took a doe yesterday at about 65yds, didn't take a step. Those Parker 250gr bullets are awesome. Confidence built and accurate gun, now for some range time to step it on out. My goal being a solid 300yds.
After drawing out, boils down to THANKS for a great site.
Blessings to all, R.D.

Here's a pic of my SML Blued Howa LA with Green mountain .50 Cal barrel, Hogue stock, Talley rings/bases, rifle basix trigger, and topped with a Leupold 3.5x10. Thanks again for letting me share. R.D.
