I was lucky enough to harvest a 19 point, possibly 20 point buck this past Saturday evening with my SML. It looks like one of those cactus bucks. One base is about 10 inches and the other is about 8-9 inches. This is my first harvest with The Lone Survivor that made it out of Coles shop before the fire. The Shot was approx 50 yards. 92.5 grains I3031 and 310 APB. I shot him the last 2 minutes of legal shooting light.

Great deer, but not a cactus buck. Kind of like Medusa. Cactus bucks remain in complete velvet. Most likely injury to both pedicles when young and antlers just took on this growth pattern after the injury. Finding his sheds over the years would have been interesting. Again fantastic trophy.
