clear non-reflective finish for stock??

Just got the boyds TH stripped and bleached. Next step is colorize and then finish.
What is a good non reflective finish for a lam stock?
I have done many wood stocks and prefer "oil" finish. this the 1st lam stock to do and "colorizing" will be neat deal. Just not sure about final finish and how to get a
non-reflective finish. On "fancy" clay target and bench rest guns with figured wood have used rubbed oil or a high gloss finish. Thanks, 10
