Just picked up a Browning single shot in 45/70. Wondering if anyone has loaded high BC ( 310 ASG ) type bullets to extend effective range? Thanks

I just got a 1885 45-70 a couple months ago. Been shooting 300gr Nosler BTRN, Sierra 300gr and Speer 300 and 350 gr.RL 7 and H 4198 are the powders I'm using. What is the 310 ASG you refer d to.

I've had a few customers shoot them. I don't recall load, but I did get some pictures of sub-moa groups at 200 yards back from them.

Best accuracy in multiple guns with A2015 pushing 300gr bullets at 2,100fps. Start at 54 grains AA 2015 and work up to max of 58 grains. Use chrono to stop load at 2,100fps and it WILL SHOOT!
