I got a Cabelas ad today showing athe Remington Model 5 .22 LR on sale so I did a little reasearch on this rifle. I stumbled onto a forum where some bashing the Remington saying the CZ Trainer (could be a 452 I'm not sure) was a better value. I can't find the CZ locally but Cabelas is 20 miles away and the Remington is $100 off at $189.99. Does that make it a better deal or is the CZ that much more superior at whatever the cost? Thanks.

I can not speak for the Remington No.5, but I have shot several versions of the CZs.With out exception they all shot extremely well.Having said that, I have not had a Remington that was not a good shooter. Most,if not all on the market today will, if fed the right ammo, shoot minute of squirrel @50 yds pretty easy.I personally like the looks of the model 5. and wished you would not have brought this up! ;D
