Been a pretty good year for no more time than we got to hunt. Only had three long weekends but we made the most of it. Gets tougher every year because we seem to continue to loose places to hunt. I know I posted the one my daughter once but I'm pretty proud of her so here it is again with the rest of the deer we got this year.
My daughter and I snuck up on this one opening day of 1st season. She shot him at 200yds off of shooting sticks while he was chasing a doe. He was dead in his tracks. She made great shot and I could not have been prouder. She used my En/Pac with a 310APB.
I shot this one during 1st season as well. This was definitely the longest shot I've ever made on a deer. There's no great story for this one. Found him chasing a doe. He was far enough away he wasn't paying much attention to me. Got set up on my new Atlas bipod and made a good shot. This was a Rem/Brux with a 335APB at 595yds.
My son got this one. Again no great stories but a really good shot on a running deer with his En/Pac and 310APB.
And I finished out the late MZ with this one. I got this one out of a blind, or from the blind anyway. I missed him the day before at 375yds trying to shoot off of sticks. I just could not get comfortable and thought the shot was good, but it wasn't. I practiced a little the next day shooting prone off the bipod. There was no way I was missing again. He came out the next night and gave me a good shot at 475yds. I got out of the blind and set up on the ground off the bipod. It didn't work out so well for him this time. This was my Rem/Brux with a 335APB again. Sorry about the poor pic.
I had a great time with my kids, brothers, and friends this year. And thanks to all the guys on this board that has made these guns and shots possible.
