Parker bullets, 60gr H4198 .45cal Match Grade Machine Encore Pro Hunter. Last weeks little buck around 150yds with a 270 E-Max. Deer made it 40-50yds. Picture shows exit, entrance was shoulder. aluminum tip found in deer while dressing. Today I shot 2. First one was around 60yds with a 275BE and second was around 40-45yds with a 270 E-Max. What a mess the E-Max made at close range compared to 150yds. 275 BE entrance (I'm pretty sure) This is exit of 270 E-Max Both deer were shot from a ladder stand and exits are low. Both deer actually ran about 20yds before collapsing.

Think I'll stick with the 245gr Spitfires ya sold me last year. Bang-flop on a buck a little bigger than the one pictured. No meat damage. The 270 E-max's sure make for some accurate target practicing, though.

I assume the BE didn't exit? No exit that I remember seeing. Danno, I don't think I sold you any 245 Barnes. Might have been Carlos.

Yuck! It just makes me nervous where all the bullet fragments went? Mixed right into the burger. Yuck! Makes a 250sst look pretty good now. Lol

I don't think a Band-Aid is going to help that boo boo I don't eat the guts and always try to aim for the heart so I am A-OK with that devastation, but it reminds us that angled shots may produce less than optimum results. Congratulation on the harvests. edge. PS as a side note, if you do not need to leave the woods with the whole deer, I would slice the hide down the spine and de-bone without gutting that deer.

I have to say that is massive , I also shoot 270 E Max in mine . I haven't had that extent of damage yet . What kind of velocity ? I have had thoughts of too much damage but if it puts them down , and shoots accurate I will place the shot and get the deer!!! Thanks For Sharing Jason
