After bore sighting and making initial adjustments. It took about 3-4 rounds to get her dialed in. Fired 7 3 round groups at 100 yards off the bench and Keith fired 1 group from the bench

Keith's 100 yards group from the bench. He set the bar high... No big deal, comes up and fires only 1 group and here it is.

I took some shots at a piece of steel at 300 yards messing around. Who doesn't like hearing that positive feedback of lead on steel? Keith suggested we put some targets up at 300 and see how she does. Here is my 300 yard 5 Shot group from the bench

Than we moved to the ground to fire some from prone off a Set Of Atlas Bipods Keith had. Here is Keith's 5 shot group at 300. He did a mil hold for wind on his last shot and pulled it out of the group but still a great group

And here is my 5 shot group from the ground off bipods. I definitely need to work on my technique with loading the bipods as I was not consistant which I believe led to the more vertical dispersion.

Look forward to finishing fire forming the remainder of the brass. I think I will fire the remainder from Bipod to work on technique. We will see what some load development does on the formed brass.

Great shooting by both of you. Glad to hear you are gonna go ahead and order that atlas to train up. I would feel pretty darn good about coming within .020moa of keiths group. Most likely he fired two into the group and then one into the berm when you weren't looking. Congrats on the great shooting and looking rifle!

I dig that gun. When I shoot out this 7mm barrel I may do a Shehane.

Yeah. Bullets.com had them do a special run of it. Only available through them. Lapua makes nice brass but definitely saved me a step from having to neck up 6.5-284 Lapua brass.

Those groups off the ground are better than a lot of bench shot groups, including mine. Great shooting and love the gun!!!

Thanks. Hopefully the remainder of the fireforming loads will shoot as good. I need to get started loading

Beautiful Gun looks like you have a head start on load development. that gun will absolutely be a tack driver.

How's that BAT action handling the cerakote? Seem like ample clearance on the bolt?

Thanks Kash, I'm hoping I at least maintain the same level of accuracy during load development as the fireforming load. This is my first improved case where I have had to fireform and also first I have had to neck turn. Neck turning was fun but man it's a pain in the butt doing all those cases.

How's that BAT action handling the cerakote? Seem like ample clearance on the bolt? It's rubbed in some areas from where the gun smith had to lap it. He said this action had the tightest tolerances of any he has ever worked on. I don't care if it had some rub marks. Looks like it gets used. I am very happy with it so far

Any updates? I heard you were gonna do a lot of shooting before you went back to the everyday grind. Tick tock...

No shooting as of last range session. Parents came to visit. Between spending time with them and assistant coach for sons little league team no free time. I'm hoping to get to range this week to fireform the rest of the brass. Unfortunately I will only be able to make it to a 100 yard range to fireform the remainder of the brass
