Well bought 2 new trail cameras, like I really needed them, to run out west in Nebraska to try to locate a mule deer. My buddy Zen has treated me well but I feel bad he does all the scouting and I do all the shooting. I have been running the cameras locally to test and familiarize myself with the camera, before running out west to set up. So far I'm happy with them except the whiteout pictures it has produced at night. Out of 300+ pictures it's produced about 20 whiteout pictures yet I'm still not 100% it's the cameras fault or the fact I have an animal to close to the camera when it triggers. I am testing them as a unit I don't have to put something in front of them to get the deer to stop and so far seems to be a great camera for $100. If I had $400+ to put on a tree to get stolen I'd buy a Reconx but I feel the primos won't be as big of a hit to the bank if something happens. Here's today's pull 203 pictures in 5 days

Cameras and their reviews are all over the place. One guy says Brand X is great, the next guy says X is garbage. I have come to the conclusion I will never own one, too scared to risk losing a Reconyx and reviews on the others is too bipolar for me to choose one. Pics look pretty good Chad.

Pics look very good. I have never owned a Primos cam but one of the guys in my club has owned a bunch of them but not the model you have. He is constantly having to send them back because they quit working. What is interesting is they now go back to Bushnell for repair/replacement.
I have been using Bushnell Trophy Cams for 5 years now and have only had problems with two. I have non HD and HD and now a couple of the new Aggressors. I too sometimes get whiteout videos when the animal is to close. I only use video on mine and have been very happy with them.
Are your other cams Primos? Would love to have a Reconyx but that aint happening at that price.

I started with the Stealth Cam film model and really like those but got old getting film developed. Then I got some Stealth Cam digital really like those but very very big then I bought wildgame innovations like those but you had to set them up on bait and make sure you check them once a month because battery life was terrible. I got lucky and found a Primos truth 46 cam at Walmart on clearance for 60 bucks RAM that camera over bait did very well but never tried on a trail to see if trigger speed was fast enough. I have an old leaf river trail camera that did pretty good but slowly fell apart and after spending $300 on that camera decided I wouldn't do that again. These primos cameras seem to be pretty good however time will tell. My next trail camera will be a Browning Strikeforce if you go to trail cam pro they do reviews on all the cameras and that is their number one seller vs Reconyx.

I almost bought a leaf river at one time but talked myself out of it. I do visit trail cam pro occasionally and it is a sight with some good information but have never bought from them. I will check out the Browning Strikeforce. Do you use lithium batteries or just regular alkaline? Keep us posted on your results with the Primos.

I called and talked to the trail cam pro guys and they recommend that you use lithium batteries the cameras work better all around with the lithium batteries right now I'm running alkaline batteries and believe that could be some of my issues. The lithium batteries were Work clear down to -40 degrees whereas alkaline will not so when they get pretty cold they hesitate somehow or another and cause issues with the camera so I need to switch out all my batteries to let them and see if that makes a difference with my cameras.

I talked to Bushnell last week regarding the way my new Aggressor cameras were acting and they also stated the lithium batteries are better for all around performance. I have only used alkaline in the past. I am going to give the lithium a try this year.

Good photos. I went shed hunting in Ohio on Sat 2-6-2016. Maybe too early, your bucks still have antlers for the most part.

More good pics. I think you are correct on the whiteout photos. Here is a video from my Aggressor. That is my climber in the background. I hunted it that morning. Good thing is this deer made it thru the season.

That's a really nice deer, looks like it could be a 4.5 year old. Wish I could convince the people hunting my in laws place to pass deer tool they hit 5 years old but I don't have a say on their land, which is fine with me. I want to prove that you can kill big deer on public.
I had a climber stand and did the same thing as you on my grand parents ground and someone stole it, very frustrating. Loved that stand though, I could sit in it all day and still be comfortable.
My next time out I'm going to hang my camera up high and angle it down to try to keep deer away from the camera and see if my idea on them getting to close is valid.
Love that video by the way, I'm going to have to try that, looks really cool.

I have about 30 videos of that deer. Hope he hangs around and puts on some more tine length. Plan to look for his sheds in March but that will be like looking for a needle in a hay stack. I will put my cameras back out in May on mineral licks.
