Just got an email. Savings of $100-$537 depending on the model chosen.
I know nothing of the leupold models, just passing this on.

kind of saw this coming with the rebates Leupold offered recently. just because the VX-3 is being replaced does not mean the newer model is better. the VX-3 is a very good scope!

It seems that you can buy the VX3i cheaper than the older VX3s on sale.I hear that they cheapened the scope.

Not what i heard from someone that actually has one. The vxi does cost more than the current sale of vx-3. I do know that they cut a few lines of scopes and will no longer have them. Not making a bunch of different scopes that hardly anyone buys helps. For example, the vx-3L.

Have to say I do envy you guy's. For instance:
Leupold VX-3 4.5-14x40 AO - Natchez price $429.99; same scope here in Canada - $929.99 and that's the cheapest I could find!!

deertroy1: I know some firearm related items are difficult to get into Canada but I was unaware that scopes fell in that category. Sorry to hear that. Does the exchange rate cause much if any of the price difference?

I have a friend in Canada and I buy here and ship to a friend that he visits just across the border and he picks the stuff up there. That price stinks. I went to french area in Canada for a Police convention I swore I never will go back they treated us terrible. I forgot a suit for a function and I went to buy one over $900.00 was the cheapest I almost dumped. I have went to Ontario a couple times hunting the nicest people you ever want to meet. I never could understand why french Canadian's hate us so. I know firearms have to be declared going in and you better have them when going back to the US. But maybe you could find some one going to Canada and meet up? maybe not Kosher but who's going to tell? Lou

I don't think it the French speaking Quebecer's hated you because you were American but probably more because you were English speaking. Depending on what area of Quebec you are visiting they would have treated an English speaking Canadian the same way. The French/English thing has always been a sore spot for this country and always will be. Luckily for you guy's your forefathers were smart enough not to have two official languages. I'm all for everyone speaking the language they choose just don't make it law! IMHO

Thanks They looked at me like I had two heads I spoke to one who was driving an American car he was just as bad as the rest I said to him if you dislike Americans so much why do you drive an American car He didn't answer. Now at the convention it was a different all together, all were Police French Canadian and American I guess it was because we all had something in common.Lou

Whenever I've been to Canada the people were very nice, helpful and courteous. However never been in the cities mostly the maritimes and nunavut. They do often ask me with a on accent "where in de south are you from?", I guess the accent, drawl and colloquialisms sounds so different from the usual US yankee that they meet. Seems there are different terms but mostly just "rednecks" from a different place. 10
