What is the opinion of a kepplinger single set trigger vs timney vs Jewell vs rifle basix Quality vs price

Set triggers are more for hunting then bench. It gives you the option of going to the "set" for a precision shot out in the field. I wouldn't use one on a bench gun, too big of a chance you would forget to set it. Never played with the 700 version but they are pretty popular for Mausers and since Canjar folded, on Ruger #1s and 3s. I've seen both the Kepplinger double and single set on Mausers and I've seen a single set on a #1. As far as function they worked, I didn't really care for the one on the #1 compared to a Canjar but that could have been adjustment. With the Mauser that had a single set it also had custom bottom metal and I think it would have been tough with gloves on to push the trigger into set mode. The #1 I seen wasn't as bad in that respect.

Initially, Kepplinger was my choice for my #1. After a ton of reading and research, I went a different direction. It may be the right choice for your needs or wants. Research the pros and cons and then decide.
