I'm sorry, but I can't imagine for the life of me why anyone would even consider shooting a deer with such destructive bullets / loads. Looks like nearly 1/3 of those animals will end up in the trash. Seems like an ongoing issue by some other pictures I've seen posted as well, by other folks using these "Hotrod loads".
Maybe it's just me, but I feel I need to extend more respect to the animals that I harvest, which I do.
Just my .02, OMMV! YB

yeah i wont be using the emax for anything beyond paper, steel, and varmint after seeing your results. They would likely perform better in the 2000fps range.

I think this bullet would be ok at 300 yd. , when I sighted in these shot groups I would have expected out of my centerfire rifles ! I had set up for around 300 yard shots .

Yuck! Need to send a metal detector over your plate before you eat! Lol. A simple switch over to the 275mh with no other changes will be about half of that carnage. Still messy, but better. Even a broadside center punch and you will likely be getting metallics in every bite. Heck the 250sst behaves better than that. Lol. Great job nonetheless. Congrats.

Look at the bright side, no need to trim the windpipe to get the lungs out.

Think I would slow it down or find a different bullet. I shoot them to eat them.

Wow! Your second picture... I did that once to a broadside coyote at about 25 yards with a hot-loaded 130 grain soft point from a .270 Winchester. I bet a headshot with that 270 E-max would be spectacular!

One other issue I see with both pictures is shot placement. Both shots are forward, hitting heavy bone. Maybe if they were back a bit in the ribs it might not be so destructive?

I had thought about the coyotes myself .I also think I need to stay off of the shoulders also it probally would'nt be so violent! I hear that coyotes might be $30 or so but I will still try it out on one it possible . Thanks
