Today was the last day of Mo. Firearms season, 11 Days. So i took my New NEF sml, i have not killed anything wid it. Twas gettin down to the wire so i decided to take any deer that came my way n offered a clear shot. 6 Doe's n fawns came from the North on my loggin road n they were in a fast trot. They stopped when they hit my scent line n the big lead Doe stopped. I shot her wid the sabot n 200gr XTP at 15 yds. She ran jus over 30 yds n piled up behind my stand.Called my Mrs. had her turn my pups loose n tell them dead deer. Well weren't long they showed up n i am up in the Hang-On watchin. They were runnin to me stand n throwed the brakes on n hooked a left walked out n found the deer. Thats my girls.

Thàt looks like a trophy doe! 15 yds! That's quite a shot! We'll get that 45 ironed out quickly. Think a little judicious fire lapping will do it.

Congrats. Nothing like a nice slick head to fill up some space in the freezer

Congrats on breaking her in. My first two deer were at 15 and 23 yds with xtps. Put a tennis ball sized hole in the first one on the entry side.

Thx everyone, the entry hole wasn't big, weren't no exit. Bullet stayed in her paunch area, after passing through the heart n part of right lung n the liver. I am hoping to recover the bullet out where i field dressed her. I shot her head on middle of brisket angled down from my 22' tree stand. Plenty of blood on ground to trail by if'en i ever needed it

The sst is tougher, but harder to shoot good, then the Barnes 195bx is the best, but hardest to get to shoot if an inconsistent barrel. Knurling between two files can help to make shoot better.

I am pleased with the performance of bullet, it worked very well. As i start to bump up the powder charge it may get bang flops
