I finally brought my bow out of the closest last week and after the first session I noticed a slight imperfection on one of the top limbs. Took it back out to shoot the next day and sure enough when I pulled it back snap! Cracked the limb a good ways on that shot. This bow is a Darton 3914 that I purchased last year and it has been a good shooting and lightning fast bow. I called Darton and quickly discovered I was going to miss several more weeks of hunting before I recieved my bow back. Now I had to find a fill in... So I explored the most local option I had available. I was quick to realize this wasn't the bow for me either so I packed the family up and headed 6hrs to the sportsmans refuge in Morgantown, WV where Dave W's boy does a lot of shooting and recommended the pro shop there. There are many bow dealers between here and wv but I have been lied to, cheated, and recieved crap work from enough of them to drive right past and head to a respectable shop. I shot most of the bows I was interested in and ended up bringing an Elite Impulse 31 home and I don't think I could be happier. Tuned to shoot like bullets and holds groups better than I can so all is well! Here it is all ready to hit the woods.

Nice. At least you bought one of those antiquated things you have to draw and hold yourself instead of an arrow rifle. You must not be a Walking Dead fan or you'd be on the X-bow wagon.

My thoughts exactly! Unless your handicap get a "Real" Bow! I've eyeballed the Elite bows and look to be a great bow! I have a Hoyt ViperTec that I purchased in 2001 and it does the job and can't justify getting a new bow! Every year I think I will get a new bow however as long as mine is still killing deer no need to unless they come out with something that just "Wows" me I won't worry about it. Excited to hear reports of your new bow and how she does out in the field! It is a great looking bow and hope you have many years of success with her! Good luck this season!

Yeah Keith, I still wear my training wheels. I have a recurve and shoot it pretty well but doubt I will ever take it after deer. Squirrels, rabbits, and birds are good practice and plentiful but you can darn near go a year without seeing a deer in my area so I'll take the tech advantage if I can.

Glad the trip was worth making Cole, they have a nice shop!. Too bad Garrett and his Dad, the owner, were not there so you could meet them. Good people, they treat Chad like family. I haven't shot the Impulse yet, Chad liked it though, he will probably have one in his stable in the near future. Like the Tightspot? Hear good things about them.
Sharp bow and good to hear how well it is shooting for you. Still amazes us that one Prime dealer doesn't allow test driving, don't know how they stay in business.
