After a few hurdles to overcome, my .375 is ready to roll. I'll get some better pics at a later time, pics do not do it justice, it's pretty much a tank, weighing in at just under 17lb on my bathroom scale. It's a 30" Krieger 14 twist barrel, Savage target action, Glades Armory Bolt, Luke's rear seal plug, Hart LRT stock (no bedding block, added 3rd screw for target action and fully pillar bedded), Warne steel 10 MOA 1 piece base (bedded), Burris Tactical Rings and topped off with a Weaver Super Slam Euro 4-20x50. Out on the end is a Molon Labe brake. All metal is polished to a chrome like finish. Hopefully it shoots as good as it looks, Cole did a really nice job, it's definitely a work of art. Can't wait to see what she'll do.

Hope you enjoy it and only hunt with it on overcast days! Are you going to use Dave W's 7828 load from this spring? Hopefully it will be a shooter.

Great lookin' rifle! Ya jest might need some camo tape for hunting purposes, though. Who is going to help you carry it in the woods ? Chris One of those bicycle tire type carts could make it a one-man operation. I should talk......am afraid to weigh my 28" .45's. Might get the feeling of being too old to carry that much weight!

Great looking rifle, and I know it will shoot as good as it looks. Now that you are going to be busy waiting this ready, you need to send POLY my way.

I'll probably try that load as a starting point since we had success with it in the test 375 this spring. I have lots of bullets and powders to try but likely won't mess with it any time soon since firearms season is so close.

That is some rifle . Who is going to help you carry it in the woods ? Chris Carri, and we won't be toting this beast too awful far. Just to a ground blind maybe. I didn't try to mimic anyone's build with this gun, but every time I look at it, it screams Earnhardt...lol

Maybe you will break it in on one of those nice ones at your Dads place and you can rename it Tank Killer. Looks sweet, can't wait to see what she will do.

If I can find the time to work up a load and sight it in, I will try my best to put it to use on one at dad's place. He's got some pretty good ones roaming around. Thanks TN HUNTER

Thanks, I messed up the original post, I forgot I changed plans on the build on Cole and the barrel is 30", not 28". I'm good at changing plans mid stride of a build, just ask Cole....lol (sorry)
Got to pull the trigger on the 375 tonight a few times, but it was super windy and right at dark but I was happy just to get to squeeze the trigger a few times. I got it dialed in close to center before I ran out of light. I adjusted the scope between every shot to get it there, so no groups yet. I will say, for shooting a 260gr bullet over 3k fps, it was very pleasant, the weight of the gun and the brake sure suck the recoil out of it. I believe I could shoot that load as many times as I wanted with no sore shoulder afterwards and I just shoot off of a front rest and a rear bag, no sled. Everything functioned as it should, I had no ignition problems and my bullets were sized very loose, primers looked great and scope tracked it's way right to where I expected, just as it should. Today I shot RL-22 and 260gr Nosler Partitions, Wool wad, Fed primers, just to get started, hopefully before the weekend I can get back out and shoot some groups. I may just have to throw the bipod on this beast and carry it after all, it's awesome.. Got the lil girl to dial in her RemPac 40 with 10/65, N110/Varget and the 195 Barnes, she's ready to crush one. She was able to step up her load this year due to the Harrels radial brake Cole installed this summer, she was perfectly comfortable with the 10/65 load and it averaged in the upper 2700's for speed.

Pretty good speed out of her little 21" barrel! Maybe you would have got to shoot some groups if you had not left the bullets and powder at home.

H4350/260 Nosler Partition, Ww, Fed 209a There are 6 shots in this group, I indexed to a different land every shot to check loading resistance between different lands, or it may have been even better, idk. 100 yards, picnic table, front rest and rear bag. Well this one one of the first test groups I got to try from my new Savage .375, I tried several different loads but only a couple showed any promise. I believe I need to tighten my bullets up a little bit and fine tune the powder charges and I'll have it shooting quite well. Not a bad start, I'm going to leave it be til after season now and then resume testing. So far everything has worked flawless, primers look great with every load tested, so I was happy about that. This gun being so heavy and with the brake, it is a dream to shoot, you could literally shoot it all day with no sled. The other load I tested that showed promise was N160/260 Nosler Accubond, WW, Fed 209a I haven't broke out the 7828 and 4831sc, I'm confident I can get good results with those powders from prior testing this past spring.
