Guys I shot my best buck yesterday morning with my .45 McRem and the 250 FTX using the duplex of 10/50 SR4759/IMR4198. The shot was 125 yards and the deer ran about 100 yards after the shot. The bullet did not exit since he was quartering to me and no blood trail for the first 80 yards but the bullet destroyed him on the inside. Here are a couple pictures of the deer and the bullet. The deer was a 9 pt. and weighed 175 lbs. and 18 inches wide. As you can see in this photo the jacket separated from the lead core. I didn't find any of the lead but the jacket was intact. The jacket was found in the guts. Thanks to all the guys on here who have helped me especially Carlos!

Good job. Nice deer. I can't believe with that shot placement the buck even moved. I am shooting the same load but with 240 xtp MAG, and they don't stop or come apart. Characteristics of an all copper. Some guys report exits with the 250ftx/shockwaves, some don't. Always been a controversial bullet.

Nice big deer Scott, and great shot placement. Next time shoot Barnes which I know you have, and it will be a good blood trail left for you if necessary. Congrats.

Boy that is what it's all about Beautiful Deer. I haven't hunted for two years but am going to hunt Delawares three late seasons a week of handgun, a week of Muzzle loader, and a week of shotgun. My smokeless will not be done but will give me a year to get use to the new rifle Rem ML 45 caliber TH stock all the goodies from Luke stock from Boyd's. when I receive it I will shoot it then I will send it to be black iced. Pictures too follow Lou
