My buddy does and he likes it. I have the regular encore and have had no issues.

I'm waiting on a steel base for it. The weaver base he used seems to be poorly machined. He bottom out sighting in. Will see tomorrow if it was his base or scope causing the issue.

Encores and Pro Hunters are notorious for shooting very low after you mount a scope. I guess it is the contour of the barrel that does this. You can get an EGW base that is offset .20 or get a set of Burris Signature rings and use the inserts to bring it up so you don't use up your adjustment range on your scope. I went with the Burris signature rings. Has worked well for me.

We went to Bass Pro in Memphis yesterday and bought a steel base some XTR rings and a 4x16x44 Vortex HST, blackhorn 209 and some CCI 209M's. Maybe it'll be good to go for Illinois!

I'm trying 325ftx and harvester bcr. 100-115gr BH209 I'm guessing? And grains in volume X .667 to get grains by weight? Then 310 APB with bcr. I am new to blackhorn powder lol. I've been shooting smokeless since I joined the board ;-)

A 325gr FTX and HBCR might be brutal to load in a T/C barrel. The MMP Orange might even be a bit tighter than you like in that bore.
Try a 458 in the MMP 3P-EZ first if you have any sabots laying around from prepacked SSTs. Those should end up being close to a MMP Orange when using a .458 instead of a .452

Weather isn't cooperating this morning, I have some bcr and mmp orange. Will 1 in 28 not be enough to stabilize the APB? Cant afford to waste many of them if not.

I'll order a pack of the thinner sabots if i have to. I've heard they are fairly tight.

Update: tried three different bases, 3 sets of rings and 3 scopes. No difference. Buying a 20 moa base and hopefully won't have to have Zee rings. Kinda disappointed.

Yep, I had the shooting low issue with my Omega. A 20 MOA base fixed that issue.
