On a reloading page on Facebook, they were talking about case head separation. They were blaming it on full length resizing. This guy would get 2-3 reloads before this happened. Another guy said this is a normal thing. Am I lucky? I have been loading for almost 20 years and have shot a lot of ammo down range. I have never had this or seen it first hand. I was thinking of improper headspacing, then overworking the brass trying to reset the shoulder back to specs. These guys would have complete separation, like digging the body body of brass out of the chamber. What are your thoughts?

I think that comes from sizing to SAAMI spec instead of your chamber. That causes excessive growth and running in the web. I full length size match guns with a .002" bump at the shoulder and can load 7-8 times.

I have loaded many times myself with both production and custom rifles. The only problem I ever had was cracked necks after a bunch of loadings

Case head separation comes from usually to things a gun that has to much head space or one that has suffered set back on the lugs of the bolt. This would be very dangerous. Normally when you full length size a case in a standard Sami spec die you should not be able to push the shoulder back far enough to get into trouble. On my 1000 yard comp guns I normally push the shoulder back .003 some guys go back .005. You really just want the case to go back into the chamber without resistance.
If your running max loads and full length sizing. Case life will be shorter on some rifle cases. The 300WSM will take a lot of punishment it all depends on the brass and the chamber. I own a .338 win mag in a old Ruger 77 it will show signs of separation after a few heavy loads. You will see a ring form around the brass just ahead of the belt before a case head would pop off.
This gun has a big chamber put its also one of my favorite rifles.

I've seen a few factory belted mags that would blow shoulders WAY forward. Sizing then back to SAAMI would cause separation with a quickness.

I totally agree elkman. This guy on face book was saying "it happens with boring frequency". Apparently he don't care about it.

This is a nasty problem with my 22 Hornet IF I full length size OR us a standard neck sizer. Fixed it by backing the pressure down (LilGun powder) and using Lee Collet dies to neck size only. I found that the thin Hornet brass was setting the shoulder back even when using a standard neck die. I am on Number 11 reloads with the current loaded to ~2750 with 40 gr v-Max Hornadys.
