Cool morning so headed for the range. One other shooter who was shooting a .308 rifle. I verified the turret at 200, then at 400. The CDS turret isn't marked for 500yds, so I used the Strelok program and tablet. The target below was shot at 500yds. Thankful Bill was there to witness and sign the target. NOTE: Holes covered are .308

What size bullets were used?? The black ring portion of each hole is about 1/3 of an inch if you compare it to his calipers and that ring is usually no more than .030" under bullet diameter. More often it is within .010"

Rifle is an Ultimate Firearms Inc. BP Xpress 50 cal. built by Ken Johnston.
Bullet is a Whitetail Medicine 300gr bullet for Ultimate Firearms Inc. by Hornady.
The guy who witnessed the shooting I've seen at the range before. He offered to sign and date the target. I'm glad he was there......
Edit: Bullet is .452"

Is that like 2.0" group at 500 yds with a saboted 50 cal and a .210 bc bullet. How many moa elevation from 100 yd zero id guess 30" .
Incredible shooting congratulations fantastic group.

Is that like 2.0" group at 500 yds with a saboted 50 cal and a .210 bc bullet. How many moa elevation from 100 yd zero id guess 30" . Incredible shooting congratulations fantastic group. If I have the caliper positioned correctly, its a 1.782" Hornady gives a .250 BC for their 300gr SST. I thought you knew I used the CDS turret on the Leupold? Its not etched for 500, so I pulled out my tablet and used Strelok. The CDS turret is marked for 450, so I used that as a zero in the software, then used 500 for the range. It indicated an additional 10 clicks, which is what I used. Range is narrow inside the woods, maybe 150' wide. With a SW 10 - 13k wind, it bounces from one side to the other down the length of the range to the target. Not sure if the following wind created the higher shot placement?

Great shooting. I did know you have cds dial. I was curious to actual drop. I would guess a full turn on turret is still12 moa.
