Well day one is in the books. Bestill gunners shot4 matches today from200 meters to 500 yds. With possible score of 107 Me 104 Blake 103 Greg 102 For first day and cool and windy great start. My personal highlight was 500 yd creedmore hit 14 of 15 in 45 minute relay shot prone off cross sticks. I missed1 at 9 o'clock just off edge. Frustrating but that's way it goes. Im very pleased with bulk of group. These are blackhorn guns shooting270 emax. Still a week of competition yet to go.

Day4 is in the books and shot149 and 10x out of 150 and 15 x . The one missing point is being measured by judges very possible a 10. Highlight of day for me was 200 yds 8 shots and they score 5 no practice. I shot50 and 4 x . I have a solid score posted in 7 matches now4 more days of shooters.

What powders are you allowed? Subs, or just BP, and if only BP can you duplex... the BP granulations..meaning can you use x grains of FFFF under x grains of FF ?
I have only used subs but suspect that FFFF would build very high pressures very fast, perhaps not like Bullseye or Unique but it must be up there??

Bp or sub only and no duplexing. Cant speak on ffffg ive thought the same but being blackpowder probably still a limit to pressure it will build . I will stay blackhorn2450 fps with270 emax

Judges have posted score. It's a 10 happy happy Can you explain scoring? I know the rings and if you break a ring you get the higher score ( I think ) but what is an "X" vs a 10? thanks, edge.

Target rings 10 is moa at given distance and x is half moa and is used for tie breaker. Our matches have several 50pt targets turned in so better shoot xs to win. Bullet has to be half in to count no line cutters.
