I think I got the scope to hold tight now. Here is a group I shot with it at 200 yards. Load was 74.0 gr H-4198 and 270 E-Max .060 wad and Win 209 primers.
Now if I can just get the 275MH to shoot as good I would be in business.
Nice shooting. Have you tried the 275BE's?

Nice shooting. Have you tried the 275BE's? Yes at 100 yards thr 275 be shoots good but I haven't tried it at 200. I was hoping to use the 275 mh to hunt with. I'm afraid the emax or BE will be too soft and expand too quickly on deer.

very nice shooting. on my 50, I have the same set of rings that I put on in 01, they have at least 25000 miles on them, airlines, bush plans, bush buggy and on and on.
Leupold QD, I shoot Barnes all cooper bullets 300,350 and 400 all with max loads, the 400 generates 42 pounds of recoil [375 H&H 37 pounds]
What more can you ask from a set of rings, I use blue threat locker.
If the scope and rings both failed tomorow, Id say a job well done.
Best wishes
Marty

This thread talked about using clear nail polish on the rings. what is your working time? Has anybody used blue locktight on rings?

I used the WEAVER Black Matte Tactical rings 6 screw caps on my 30MM tubed scope with blue Loctite. I wanted it to stay put and not slip. I use the rings with 4 screw caps on 1" tube scopes and have not had one move yet.
