How accurate have your Magneto-Speed velocities been? A buddy of mine who is one of the best Palma shooters in the country says they are very accurate. I've had decent luck using them but used one with a suppressor this week and had an issue. The chrono said I was at 2608fps with an SD of 10fps. When I trued my drops at 800m with a known BC bullet (accurate within 1% per Applied Ballistics ) my ballistic solver said my velocity was 2671fps given my actual drops.

Ours is very accurate, I think. I don't have anything to check it against. It always shows a smidgen more the published speed .

The reason I am asking is I have not done a tall target test on this optic so its adjustments may not be 100% accurate. This is a test being run by another agency and I don't get to test everything I want but need to provide meaningful feedback. The issue is that predicted drop was 2 MoA different at 700m than actual drop.

Mine has been very accurate, it appears the box hasn't shifted at all on it's shelf! The times I did use it the readings were right where my expected velocity should have been.

The velocities I see from the Magnetospeed match up very well with the drops I see out to 500 yards.
I haven't shot past 500 for a while to compare data from the Magnetospeed to long range drops.
I really like my Magnetospeed.

I have their first model, while they are now making their third model. I've only compared it on one occasion with my Pro-Chrono with three shots on one type of bullet. They were within 10fps of each other, so I was pleased....... one the other hand, the Pro-Chrono could be off the same as the M-Speed....who knows? I'm happy with it, though. It sets up easy, no worries about wind, light conditions, blowing the screen out, figuring feet from muzzle, etc. In my mind, the only thing better might be the new radar system....if it works as advertised, it would be the "cat's meow".
