I have seen some video clips on this gun. Has any one out there shot it? If so what kind of recoil with 3" magnum .410 shells? What kind of pattern with 000 buck? What kind of accuracy with the .45 ammo? Thanks in advance, Mike

Well I shot the Judge tonight although not as much as I wanted. The guy who owns it didn't have any 45 long Colt. But he did bring some 2 1/2 in OOO Buck. It has 4 pellets per shell at 7 yards all but one hit the head of a target. At 5 yards they all stayed within 5 inches. I shot some .410 slugs at only 7yards and point of aim point of impact were close. I thought you could shoot a 3 inch shell in these guns but when I loaded it with 5 Remington's about an 1/8 inch hung out the end of the cylinder. I am curious what a load of #6 shot would be like. The recoil of the 2 1/2 was about like a light 44 mag or heavy 45 LC. Very manageable I don't know that I would spend the $500 to buy one but it was fun to shoot. Defiantly a formidable weapon for close up work.

My understanding is they recently made a judge model capable of shooting .410 3" OOO buck or smaller shot. 3" slug or .45 pistol round. I have read that #6 shot shoots a good pattern but lacks the penetrating ability to put down an attacker. I am hoping to find some one who has the 3" model. There is a waiting list for them at the local Gander Mountain store. I personally do not know any one who has shot the new one yet. Mike

I road the motorcycle up to Cabelas in Wisconsin a couple week ago they had some Federal .410 shells that were #4 shot. Then box was marked For Pistols.

I was going to buy one of these from a local dealer but he instructed me that Taurus is having some serious quality control issues and that i should stay away from Taurus for now. My brother bought a Taurus .22 pistol the other day before i had a chance to mention this to him. He called me and said the pistol cylinder would jam and the firing pin was damaging the edge of the rim to the point of causing gas leakage. I told him to take it back to the dealer and get his money back which he did. I'm holding off on buying one till i learn a little more about what is going on at Taurus............
