IMO I wouldn't shoot that much BH from the RU.
One issue is that the sabots don't hold up properly. Western did a lot of testing of their bullets in the rifle. Measure one of the Remington Barnes bullet's diameter, then measure a 250/290gr T-EZ flat base........
The bullet and sabot are special for the increase pressures. Until they changed the bullet and increased the sabot thickness, the pressure destroyed sabots in testing.

That charge will be a 3.5" long powder column. Is it possible to burn that much powder .

I get a kick out of the guys in the old days that used to knock the 150gr magnum loads and then read on the forums these days and those same guys are using those 150gr mag loads or HIGHER.

I have a knight mountaineer 50 cal muzzleloader and I shoot 110 grains by volume(77)by weight of bh 209 and it is good out to 200 yards.Anything over than that and I lose all kinds of accuracy.
