Bad news................It is not a compound press. It will not exert enough force on tight sizes. OK for light reloading. Lee does make some presses that would work. I actually have that press. Neck sizing cases, seating bullets but for bullet sizing like with do for SML? I use a RCBS Rock Chucker. Richard

Well then... That kinda stinks. My fiancé and I just decided to buy a house today so I likely won't have the funds anytime soon to buy a more heavy duty in, let alone a die.

Get the rockchucker and smooth die. it can be adjusted to any tightness for as long as you live. Think about it

If you're just going to size Parker match hunters, that press will work.

If you're just going to size Parker match hunters, that press will work. That is my plan. It may not be as easy as a compound press but i wouldn't think it would be impossible. I am likely only taking .002"-.003" off of the .452 bullets any how. But I have no idea. Never sized before. With a new house in my future I am trying to get through this as low budget as possible without switching to sabots.

I put my swing lock FF die in a vice, use plenty of stick lube and tap Luke's 310 .458 APB with a hammer and the ram that came with the die. Slowly, and it works great.

I really did not want to be the barer of bad tidings but had you put a post on the forum prior to ordering the press I am sure you would have gotten similar feed back. As Luke indicated, with the Parkers jackets being as soft as they are, you can probably get by. Richard

It's the press I started with. I even fullformed with it--it was not easy. Eventually, I ripped it apart with my bare hands FF'ing a 325FTX. It'll be fine for smooth sizing Parker MH's.

That's what I was hoping for. After all I only shoot around 30-40 MH per year on average. It isn't going to be getting a ton of use.
