Going to Francis Case July 13-17 camping/fishing with the family. I ordered 16 new lures and the first shipment came in today. I ordered these 5 (reef runners) in this color and another 5 in a different color. Then I ordered some walleye divers. Do any of you have any suggestions for Francis Case in July? Never been there very excited!

I just got back from a week long trip to Glendo Reservoir in eastern Wyoming...It's supposed to be Walleye hotspot but it was pretty slow due to high water and stormy weather. Didn't see any fish that were caught in the campground I stayed in. Wyoming is not what I would call a non resident friendly state..The price they get for a non resident one week fishing license kept me from fishing... The same goes for the camping fees...If you live on the Nebraska side of the border they get you good for that also...Anyhow I had fun scouting the Laramie Peak Range...Beautiful Mulie and Elk country...Saw a few good ones along with a couple thousand Antelope...Locally they're catching quite a few Walleyes at Minatare Lake..The hot lure at the time is similar to what you got only with a yellow jig tail attached..I'm sure you and your family will do alright...Have fun Zen

The hot bait for us has been... shrimp! Of course it works for everything from bluegill to steelhead and everything in between. Ssshhhhhhh, don't want the secret to get out! Good luck.

Walleye lures have yet to hit the water however a slip weight and red hook with worm is the ticket. Took us 2 1/2 days to figure out how to catch walleye but finally found the right local people to fill us in on their secret.

The local guys that showed us their secret can catch some fish, holy cow. We got to the water around 9 today and they showed up around 10 or so. We left at noon work only three walleye in boat when we left they had 11. It was fun watching these guys catch so many fish with a zepco classic 33 and us over in our body with spinning reels scratching our heads trying to figure out what we were doing wrong, "your drifting too slow!" They said lol
Well we will hit it again later today and tomorrow morning before we head back home. Either way just love being away from work!
Wife is already talking a bigger camper for next year, everyone that rolls in with a camper were want to look at she's saying "think they'll let us look inside their camper?" Love the camping life!

Final day on the water before we left for home I caught this spoon bill. Around 15lbs.

Hated to have to go home but guess that we can't live fishing and camping everyday of the summer.
