Has anyone tried the Mag Spark 209 adapter on a Lyman Great Plains Hunter in a .54? I understand this will ignite Blackhorn 209 reliably. Thanks, Kyle

I've got a pair for my T/C Renegade LRH barrels. What is the thread diameter and pitch? If they are the same you can borrow mine and try it.

Keith, Do you feel that it was money well spent? The concept sounds really good. Kyle

I feel like it is a good insurance policy for a sidelock where legal. They are slow to use and can get difficult when dirty but they work well.

you can buy a magspark nipple from warren custom out doors, found on the internet. buy a extra cap when and if you buy one. as if you dropped the cap while hunting and cant find it your down in the water with out a paddle. when i use them i always use cci shot gun primers as they are the best, ive found. also buy a very small tiny pliers to take the cap off if it gets sticky. never put powder under the primers as that turns the magspark nipple into a bomb and you will blow it apart. never more than finger tighten the cap over the primer. also i always put spit on top of the primers before i put the cap on as when the primer goes off it makes steam and that steam makes the used primer come out easier. pineridgeblackpowder talks about the magspark but doesnt sell them. when i talked to the man who has that site he said he is going to try to up date his site this fall sometime. he is a good source of a lot of info. also builds good custom side locks.
