Did anyone know that the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is an aggressive and successful anti-hunting organization?
Little infuriates me more than an animal being abused or neglected and I applaud HSUS' work in the area of rescue dogs, cats and other abused and unwanted domestic animals but cannot abide anyone lobbying to take away my hunting rights.
This came to my attention thru my local paper this morning. The Arkansas Game and fish had been using a group called Survey Monkey to conduct online surveys for public opinion on various topics.
Turns out Survey Monkey donates large sums of money to HSUS which is in direct conflict of what a game and fish commission stands for. Needless to say Arkansas' Game and fish has since found another vendor to do business with.

this is old news. They also are by far the number one leader to euthanize animals in the US probably doubling at least the number 2 entity, they are a contradiction unto themselves.

They're just another arm of the libs out to control every facet of our lives. As with all of them the rule is "do as I say, don't do as I do".
For many years they have been sending their "operatives" to ranches, farms, slaughter houses.....any place where they might get something on camera to accuse people of being inhumane to animals. Any good they have done is wayyyy overshadowed by their smear campaigns. They are far too successful in swaying the minds of total city-slickers who think their milk comes from their grocery store and know no different!

As part of my job I deal with these type of groups almost daily . Anti hunting , trapping and most recently fishing is just part of their agenda . Any animal farming is on their list to be ended . Animals should not be used in any way for the benefit of humans . You lucky fellas living out there in " The Real America " have no idea of their real agenda . Thanks for getting my blood pressure up . I could go on for hours on this subject but I would rather just think about the nice group I shot this morning with my very basic .50 cal. MLII . Chris

No question about the stance the Humane Society has taken. Years ago when I was searching for a hunting dog and went to the Humane Society I was informed that if I chose a dog I had to sign a form stating that I would not use the dog for hunting activities.
Thought this was ludicrous to deny a dog using its natural instinct if it was given the opportunity. Needless to say I went elsewhere to acquire a dog.
