After drooling over all the rifles shown on this board and helping my cousin setup his the time has come for one of my own ... I have a new s.s. 700ml action ( thanks 12ptdroptine ) and now the ordering begins ...Luke will be getting the business , he provided great service on my cousin's build ... I'm thinking a Boyds pro varmint in forest camo ... Luke's breech plug with a .04 carbide bushing and the typical goodies to get her going .... Wish me luck ....

Alright then, GOOD LUCK, but you won't need it! It is actually a very easy process now with the help and experience from the board. Have fun.

Good luck jeff! It's pretty easy to get these guns to shoot 1/2-3/4 MOA, once your get your combo figured out.

Last summer Luke put a .45 PacNor barrel on an " extra " Savage MLII that was just not shooting well . With only the barrel replaced , the rifle now shoots 3/4" to 7/8" with both 195gr. Barnes and Hornady 200gr. SSTs in Havester blue sabots with 59.0grs of H4198 . I could not be happier ! With a couple of " extras " thrown in there , I'm sure you will be super pleased at the results !! Chris

If this one shoots like the one we built for Gerret I will be a happy camper ... He is shooting 1/2 - 3/4 inch 3 shot groups at 100 and his first group at 300 was 1 13/16 " .... All with the typical 200 gr xtp / light blue harvester combo over 60 gr of imr 4198 .. The guys on this board have perfected these builds and made it easy for the rest of us .... Hats off to you !!!

You are very welcome Jeff. I am sure it will be a great looking and great shooting gun when you get her all done. Keep us posted as she grows Drop

Good luck Jeff. I ordered a Boyds Pro Varmit in Forest Camo about 2.5 weeks ago. Anxiously waiting for its arrival.

And you begin to feed the addiction!
Enjoy your build and progress. We expect eyecandy pix and a lot of bug holes in the X ring. 10 ga
