I installed a savage takeoff barrel on one of my actions and have a PTG go/no go gauge set,,, As is the bolt will now close with very, very slight resistance at the very,,, bottom of the bolt stroke on the go gauge and will not close on the no go,,, should that stiffness need to be there ? Winchester unfired brass loads easy with the shoulder just barely a little bit rubbing in the chamber on the outer edge of the shoulder and no bolt stiffness at the bottom of the stroke. I will be reloading all ammo and just barely bumping the shoulders on all fired brass

PPosey,
I like to chamber about .001 off the go gauge with no resistance. Did you remove the ejector when using the gauges? The Go Sami gauge says that any sami spec ammo or brass should load but sometimes you run into brass that is right on the upper limit. I don't like to "feel" any resistance on the go gauge.
You shouldn't have any problems just watch for pressure at first and if you see any signs just back off a thousandth or so. +1 on just bumping the shoulder. Also since you are at minimum spec off the go gauge, check carefully for brass length at first.

I backed the barrel out just a tad, turned it about 1/8th of an inch and now I'm hiting nothing with the go, no go still will not even let the bolt start down, should be good to go,,, thats alot of go's
