I thought I would share couple pictures of the first 700 short action 209 bolt. Testing will begin next week.

I might get one just for the looks. I'd have to get a ultimate to fit in and do another build!!!

Would the bolt of a Remington XR 100 in .204 Ruger be able to be adapted to that bolt head to hold the 209 primer ? Chris

Right now we only have them in the 700 sa length. If this works well and there is enough interest I'm sure a xr100 length can be arranged.
Bolt looks awesome kash! First thing I'm doing when I get it home is bead blast!! Haha

These guys do it all day, everyday and I see why they are in high demand! Kinda scared to get it near my machines, I might scratch it!! Kash must have ordered this one made of glass.

That is very nice looking, those should make a lot of members happy to to be able to use 209's in a CF action.

Kash is the kind of guy that says I have a buddy that builds guns. And they just happen to supply a lot of people with custom actions and bolts.

Pierce engineering builds the bolts for me. A friend of mine runs the shop. Like Myers said that's all they do is build actions for a lot of custom big name rifle build throughout the US and Canada.

Earnhardt, we have to test this one and then make a few changes. We were doing a little bit of this long distance and the 209 slot got turned in it's orientation and that has been fixed in the programming. Any other issues that arise in our test guns will be handled before we place an order to be released, but that won't take long! In theory if all was known to be ok, production can start at the push of the little green button. By all reports we believe these will work in the ultimates. I have to secure one to find out, they aren't popular in my area I guess cuz I haven't been able to find one

Pierce was my first thought. That will be a good product. I'm having one of their actions, sans ejector, barreled as an SML.

Pricepoint looks to be great, they have to run one with the final program to dictate the amount of time they have in them and then we will know for sure. We are VERY confident that the price will be very competitive to buying the other conversions for actions we currently use to build the SML's.

Are you going to have bolts in 4140 only or are they going to make stainless also?

7mmfreak, this bolt is ss currently. I'm not sure if we will need to pursue a CM bolt or not, I think most guys will be ok with a ss bolt in a blued gun if it is bead blasted? We will do what we can to offer what the board is looking for. Thanks! Ti is a possible option also $$$
