Greetings from Slippery Rock!
New member here and what a great site! I joined so to be brought up-to-speed on the latest advancement in muzzleloaders. I own an original 1700s half-stock Sacket, a TC firestorm flint and a beautiful Remington ML. My most important issues right now are to buy a inline for my 17 year old son so we can hunt Colorado next year and to better understand what I need to do to bring my ML up to fire 209 primers.
So...........look for my posts if you have input on these issues.
Have a Blessed day!

Welcome aboard, In reguards to the 700ml conversion you PM,d me about, if you are hunting with it in Colorado you may want to check there regulations. IMO my conversion changes the 700ml from an open breech system to a closed breech system and some western states require open breech ignition systems. I thought Colorado had this requirement.

Thanks for the reply and the caution. The regulations say that you have to use loose powder (no pellets) and no sabots but shotgun primers are legal. Nothing about having the primer / cap being exposed.
BTW........any thoughts between buying a TC Omega compared to a Traditions Vorteck??
