Well the stuck plug is out after three smiths and a lathe and resetting barrel. Headspace is set. I have it sitting in a bed of Devon right now will finish that up tomorrow. The bullets, sabots, powder, primers, stainless steel bases, stainless rings all sitting in gun closet waiting for final assembly and shooting. Going to put my weaver grand slam Rocky Mountain elk edition 4-14 on her to work on finding a accurate load then order a leupold 3-9-40 vx2 to finish her out. Thanks to all the guys on here that took the time to help a fellow hunter and new to smokeless hunter out!! I really appreciate it and a big thanks to Mr buck for the free wrench which I will be passing along to a new member.....and some other goodies he slipped in the care package for me. And a big thanks to all the guys who recommended stuff to buy my wife especially appreciates yall!!! Lol this is a fun and expensive hobby to come out the gate on!!!

Put it together and let the fun begin . Everyone on the " Board " is always ready to help in any way they can . Chris X2 Now you can even start thinking about a 45 SML. And looking for a donor action. And what kind of barrel to get? And what kind breech plug and ignition system? And a trigger system. And so many choices of stock types. And base, rings and glass? And how best to fit a gun into the kind of hunting I do? And what do I have to sell, trade or adapt to finance and enable this ....? Welcome, it can be addictive. Let us know how the load development goes. Mark that ramrod and remember safety 1st. Best, 10 ga

Try to pick a calm , overcast day to shoot ... watch the extended weather forecast . When you get set up to shoot keep everything orderly and take your time . Wait at least 10 to 15 minutes between taking a shot and reloading . It is not a bad idea to keep a notebook so you can log the date , how many shots were taken , and when the barrel was cleaned and the plug cleaned and lubed . Enjoy ! Chris
