RIGHT out the window, a young eagle attacked a wild turkey under the bird feeders. Somehow the turkey got loose and made it into the woods further. However I don't believe the eagle's hunt is totally over....
Sorry for the poor photos but, its through the windows.

The eagle must have flown off and rather it intended coming back or not, we don't know. Around 4:00pm it was time to fill all the bird feeders, which are hung from pulleys 12' off the ground. Keeps the squirrels off them and the bears from tearing them up. Once I filled the feeders, I walked out to the attack site and found a small amount of blood. The turkey, which ended up being a hen had moved. I decided to follow it and after a few yards, the bird tried to fly and made it about 40yds and landed back in the brush. I left the area. If she can get into a tree tonight to roost, maybe she'll make it. I will though go out tomorrow and see if she made it. Quite the sight out the front room slider......

Update........ a walk through the entire property, no feathers and no dead bird. She might have made it after all........
