Have any of you used or looked into a B&C Alaskan stock for a 700 Remington with Mcgowen dmb#1 barrel?

It looks like they are inletted for magnum countoured barrels which is not big enough for a Mcgowen ml barrel imo....A stock that is made for varmint or heavy/bull barrel is what to look for then they need to be opened up some to accomadate the barrel....

The B&C Medalist Stock is the minimum that will work with the McGowen DMB-1 Barrel. I have two DMB-1s in that Stock and soon to be a 3rd.

The Alaskan stock is light on "meat" , factory 700ml barrel is a tight fit.
The HS sporter will take a DMB#1. That's what mine is sitting in and it had plenty of material at the fore-end.

Mine is on here somewhere, a pain to find with my phone.
If somebody doesn't put it up, I'll try to find it tomorrow when I get back to a real computer.

Thanks for the pictures! Those are very nice looking rifles. Does the one with the Alaskan Ti stock balance ok? I'm asking because I believe that is the stock that is on my sons Remington 700 7-08 and I love the feel of it and that it is super light. From the research I've done it looks like his is a 700 mountain guide sold by Cabelas and they came with the same stock that came on the 700 titanium. Having seen your rifles, I'm going to be forced to build another one! Thanks again

It balances very well, but anything over factory 700 contour and I think you would lose stock integrity.
Yes, they were on the first generation Remington Ti rifles.

If you would like the feel of Ti stock with more substance in the forearm go with the LVSF stock, it is essentially the same as the Ti but with the beavertail forend, plenty of room for heavy barrels.

Did you full length bed the one in the Ti stock? I put one on a Rem700 with mag barrel channel and it needed full length bedding due to forearm flex.

Is it a Gen 1 stock or one of the newer ones? Mine was Gen 1.

Looks like a Gen 1, but I'm not completely sure. It came off a 7mmSAUM Ti.
