For mr.coyote. First morning of the Ohio MZ season and I see Mr. Coyote coming acroos the field for 300 yards away coming towards me. When he was around 120 yds I barked at him to stop him. He stopped behing the only brush in the field for 30 yds in any direction. He was behind a pretty thick briar bush. I took the shot anyway thinking the bullet should get through the bush ok because he is within just a couple of feet on the other side of it. At the shot he took off back down the field and fell over in mid stride after about 80 yds. I have never had a coyote take a step when I shot them with this gun so I thought I had somehow missed until he fell. When I went to get him later I was surprised at the damage. The 195 Barnes must have hit some of the thick briars and gone into at least two pieces, there were two entry and exit holes. I couldn't believe he ran 80 yds after being shot 115 yds, 195 Barnes, 62 gr N-120, blue sabot, through brush = a mess No deer for me this year, bunches of does and young bucks that I just decided to let walk this year. Tag soup for me.

Ya made a bad coyote a good one.
No doubt saved a few spring fawns in the process!

Nice work!! Lots of folks I know are eating tag soup this year, myself included. Sure was an off year in the deer woods in a widespread area. Glad you took a yote out, I didn't even get an opportunity to do that..
