Killed this black bear with my bow first week.
And then this nice 9 point last day of rifle Also killed a smaller 9 point with my bow late season but don't have a pic. Was a pretty rough season here to see big bucks due to the massive acorn crop this year.

That looks like a great season to me, i'd love to shoot a bear some time. I shot my first antelope this year almost made booner (-1/8th).
Congrats on your season!

I'm from Virginia also. What part of the state are you in? We don't see a lot of really nice bucks like that here in Central Virginia. Just curious what county it came from.

I killed this one on National Forest in Botetourt but I have killed good bucks all over the state you just have to put in the time an effort. Where in VA are you?

Looks like you had a fine season . Seems like many folks here on Doug's did not see many deer . And your bear is a fine trophy .

Thanks Mrbuck. Yeah my season turned out good but number of deer being seen was way down. I use my vacation so I am off the whole month of November and only work 3 14hr days a week normally so I basically hunt every day of the season from bow to late muzzleloader. I hunt long sets most days and hunt all day during the rut or times of high activity.
