Typically how many qts. of canned venison is produced by a 125# (live weight) wt. doe. I realize this is a vague question, but a ballpark figure please .

A quart is 2 lb, but I have measured precisely and you can only get 1 1/2 lb meat cubes in. So if a 125lb live deer would weigh approx. 100lb dressed, and you would get approx. 35lb clean meat, then that would be approx. 23 qt if my math was close. Of course all these numbers are approx. so take that with a grain of canning salt!!! Enjoy.

It seems to me that about 10-12 qt. out of a good sized deer, not including the loins of coarse. I usually pack them as tight as possible and never get enough for 2 packers full (14 qts). I know it dosent seem right but it is hard to get 30# of clean meat out of a deer.

Doing abit of head figuring you will have 65 lbs hanging weight after all the losses. Lose another 15-18 lbs bones n such. So your going to can around 48 lbs of meat maybe get 16 qt's. I ground up a 5 gallon zip locks full of deer burger n we put up 14 qts.
